Based on a manga series, Akame ga Kill! is a gripping thriller about the darker side of society. The themes
The show follows the main character, Tatsumi, who is a traveler from a small village. He ends up working for an assassin group named Night Raid which is fighting against the Empire. The members of this group are all looking for revenge for what the Empire has done to them in the past. However, not all members of Night Raid are innocent- they have committed crimes and hurt people themselves. They believe that their crimes were justified because the victims deserved it or they were at war when they committed their crimes. As time goes on, Tatsumi finds out more about these characters and their pasts and starts to question whether or not he should be involved with them in killing more people.The show shows how war can destroy lives and change people into someone completely different than before.
